Performs simple and routine engineering design tasks with standard techniques. The Engineer I will work on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role &amp; is closely managed by Chief Engineer</p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain and repair the physical structure of the Hotel and furnishings as directed by the Facilities Manager or GM. This includes electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pool/spa, irrigation, and other equipment to ensure smooth operation of hotel.</li><li>Inspect and adjust all systems daily and respond systems alarms.</li><li>Respond to maintenance work orders and guest requests to ensure guests receive quality service and furnishings.</li><li>Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)</li><li>Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary</li><li>Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)</li><li>Performs minor fan and air-conditioning repairs</li><li>Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs to equipment throughout the hotel.</li><li>Performs rough carpentry work, drywall and painting repairs.</li><li>Performs routine plumbing repairs, including installation of toilet, sinks, and other hardware &amp; fixtures, and laundry/kitchen equipment.</li><li>Assists Chief Engineer in administration of an on-going preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms.</li><li>Services the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.</li><li>Continuously monitors the surroundings at work, to identify any cleanliness, safety, security, or building upkeep issues. Reports discrepancies to the proper department.</li><li>Maintains a professional image, including grooming, verbiage, and body language, at all times.</li><li>Warmly greets both guests and coworkers every time they come in contact.</li><li>Actively listens to guests, responding appropriately to their questions and/or concerns.
