    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The MRI Technologist operates specialized MRI Imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images. The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI examinations using the Esaote O-Scan 0.3T extremity MRI scanner in accordance with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) requirements, FCNY policies, and manufacturer-specific operating procedures. The MRI Technologist performs MRI studies of anatomical areas as ordered/directed, as according to established standards and protocols. This role ensures safe patient care, accurate image acquisition, proper documentation, and high-quality imaging to support diagnostic interpretation by the Supervising/Interpreting Radiologist.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform MRI Imaging procedures</li>\n <li>Operate the Esaote O-Scan 03T MRI system and follow all safety and manufacturer protocols</li>\n <li>Perform patient identification, MRI safety screening, and exam preparation</li>\n <li>Position patients and select appropriate imaging protocols</li>\n <li>Monitor patients, maintain safety in all MRI zones, and enforce 5-Gauss line restrictions</li>\n <li>Complete documentation, upload images to PACS, and maintain MRI logs</li>\n <li>Perform and record daily QC and report equipment concerns</li>\n <li>Participate in required MRI safety training and support DOH inspections</li>\n <li>Communicate patient concerns, abnormal findings during scanning, and safety issues immediately</li>\n <li>Participate in staff meetings and MRI safety training updates</li>\n <li>Support teaching and demonstration for students observing MRI workflows</li>\n <li>Apply the necessary technical judgement to obtain studies of an acceptable diagnostic quality according to written protocols and the patient needs</li>\n <li>Provide patient education relevant to specific imaging procedures</li>\n <li>Assist radiologist as required</li>\n <li>Maintain all patient safety questionaries prior to introducing any patients into the MRI scan room</li>\n <li>Attend in services and other professional development meetings as required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h4>Education/Experience</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technologist program.</li>\n <li>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in radiology and magnetic resonance imaging</li>\n <li>Radiologic Technologist – MRI (RT–MR)</li>\n <li>Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (RT–R)</li>\n <li>Current BLS certification.</li>\n <li>Completion of FCNY MRI Safety Training Levels 1 & 2.</li>\n <li>One year experience in Diagnostic Imaging</li>\n <li>Proficient in EMR, RIS, PACS modality software</li>\n <li>Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior MRI experience (extremity MRI preferred).</li>\n <li>Documented training on the Esaote O-Scan MRI system (manufacturer's certificate)</li>\n <li>Experience in outpatient or academic clinic settings.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with PACS and electronic health records.</li>\n <li>NYS DOH IV injection license</li>\n</ul>\n<h4>Working Conditions</h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to assist with patient positioning and movement.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand, bend, and lift light equipment as needed.</li>\n <li>Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during scanning.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $68.00/Hr.\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $50.00/Hr.",
