    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">POSITION SUMMARY:</p><p>Occupational Therapist develops and provides occupational therapy services to referred patients and serves as a patient advocate in the Therapy Department.</p><p><br></p><p>JOB-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Evaluate and develops treatment plans for assigned patients.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Evaluate patients within 72 hours of physician referral.&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Supervises rehabilitation technicians and COTAs in direct patient care and patient-related activities.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Treats patients according to treatment plans approved by the attending physician.&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span> Provide evidence-based treatments and monitor progress to all patients on OT caseload.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Communicate with the Director of Rehabilitation, physicians, and other team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans. &nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Participates as necessary in patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and other meetings as assigned.&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Documents treatment and outcomes on a daily basis according to accepted regulatory, corporate, and professional guidelines. &nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Completes all required patient care documentation to accepted regulatory, corporate, and professional guidelines in a timely manner.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span> Performs department audits to ensure quality patient care</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Participates in In-Service Training Programs with staff to achieve a high standard of care by all staff.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Records daily treatments and charges with respect to department policy.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Secures necessary durable medical equipment and adaptive equipment for patients to facilitate independence.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Serves as a clinical preceptor for affiliating Occupational Therapy or Occupational Therapy Assistant schools.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Communicates and coordinates clinical services department functions with other departments to achieve cohesion and effectiveness.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Communicate with the Director of Rehabilitation regarding department programs, goals, objectives, problems, and successes.&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Complies with state regulations and national standards as they apply to the practice of Occupational Therapy.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Demonstrates knowledge of Occupational Therapy equipment utilized in different procedures, for example, ultrasound, e-stim, etc.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Utilizes resources appropriately and uses/maintains equipment to prolong working life.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Adheres to department productivity standards.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Communicate with COTAs daily regarding patient goals, outcomes, and plan of care.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Communicate with the physician regarding patient status (i.e., weight-bearing) and activity level.</p><p><span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp;
