    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>As a key member of the laboratory team, the Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a wide range of waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing procedures in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely results with minimal supervision and will work within a generalist scope in a variety of departments.</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, validating, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation and equipment; performing quality control, proficiency testing, and quality assurance activities; and recognizing and responding to factors that may affect test accuracy and reliability. The Medical Laboratory Scientist identifies abnormal or unexpected results, supports the implementation of new testing methodologies, and may participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><span>This position serves patients across all age groups and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service while promoting patient safety and a culture of quality.
