We are seeking a Senior Utility Manager to lead utility coordination and technical delivery.</p>\n<p>The Senior Utility Manager is responsible for coordinating the relocation of existing utilities or clearing any potential conflicts for the delivery of infrastructure projects for various clients on large infrastructure projects. This opportunity entails working with project design teams to coordinate the relocation of existing utilities in advance of construction projects. This role will support large infrastructure programs by coordinating with cross-functional teams, reviewing engineering plans and as-builts, developing utility relocation solutions, and ensuring work is properly communicated and delivered to each party, whether through utility conflict matrices, reports of investigation, right-of-way data sheets, schedule updates, as-builts, maps, or design plans.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Senior Utility Manager should be well-versed in relocation strategies and the laws and regulations of the relevant jurisdictions. Furthermore, the Sr. Utility Manager should have the ability to understand the technical aspects of projects. The ideal candidate is a CA licensed Professional Engineer (PE), a self-starter with strong communication skills, and the ability to stay focused on project delivery.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Utility Management and Technical Delivery</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead all utility coordination, design review, relocation strategy, and construction support for electric distribution, underground electrical systems, duct banks, vaults, conduits, cutovers, and utility relocations.</li>\n   <li>Review utility plans, specifications, design packages, composite utility plans, and relocation plans for constructability, sequencing, and compliance with project requirements.</li>\n   <li>Prepare utility conflict analysis, cost estimates, schedules, prior rights determinations, and agreements for relocation</li>\n   <li>Coordinate with utility owners, public agencies, rail/transit operators, designers, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to resolve utility conflicts and support timely decisions.</li>\n   <li>Assists with preparing and packaging utility construction permits for submission to municipal and state agencies, including Notice to Owners (NTO) and Utility Agreements (UA), as appropriate.</li>\n   <li>Provide technical support for utility RFIs, submittals, design changes, field issues, change orders, shutdowns, cutovers, and service continuity planning.</li>\n   <li>Lead the preparation and organization of field walks, utility investigations, potholing coordination, as-built reviews, duct bank reviews, constructability reviews and construction readiness reviews.</li>\n   <li>Lead or facilitate meetings involving utility-specific activities</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Electric Distribution and Dry Utility Expertise</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Provide subject matter expertise for electric distribution and dry utility infrastructure, including underground distribution systems, medium and low voltage systems, duct banks, vaults, transformers, switchgear, grounding and utility service coordination.</li>\n   <li>Coordinate with electric utilities and municipal utility departments on design standards, service applications, relocation procedures, outage requirements, inspections and acceptance requirements.</li>\n   <li>Review electric distribution and dry utility designs for compliance with applicable codes, utility standards, agency requirements, project specifications and sound engineering practice.</li>\n   <li>Provide technical recommendations to resolve field conflicts involving electric, communications, gas, fiber and other dry utility infrastructure.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Construction Management and Field Support</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Support construction management teams during utility-related preconstruction, construction, testing, commissioning and closeout.</li>\n   <li>Monitor utility construction activities for compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, permits, utility owner requirements, safety, quality and project procedures.</li>\n   <li>Resolve field utility conflicts, constructability issues, sequencing constraints, unforeseen conditions and contractor questions.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Project Management and Reporting</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Lead utility work planning, scope development, coordination, risk identification and issue resolution.</li>\n   <li>Provide clear updates to project leadership, clients, agencies, contractors and utility owners.</li>\n   <li>Prepare technical memoranda, meeting materials, issue summaries and decision-support documents.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license</li>\n <li>10+ years of utility coordination/management experience. Prefer candidates with emphasis on dry utilities (gas/power/communications)</li>\n <li>Experience coordinating with utilities, municipal communications providers, public works departments, transportation agencies, and rail/transit operators.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to quickly assess problems, identify solutions, and implement solutions</li>\n <li>High accountability, strong follow-through, and ability to drive issues to closure.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with and collaborate with a diverse staff, including senior leadership, technical staff, and project staff</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salary Range: $135,000 to $145,000 yearly</p>\n<p>Location: San Francisco, CA</p>\n<p>Work Environment: Onsite</p>\n<h2>Our Company</h2>\n<p><strong>Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference</strong></p>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
