    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>This position is responsible for the delivery of BIM and CAD design services for fire protection systems such as Wet, Dry, and Pre-action.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Able to execute project design responsibilities with little supervision</p><p>Sizing and layout of equipment and distribution systems such as sprinkler heads and piping&nbsp;</p><p>Perform hydraulic calculations, selection and layout of equipment, and piping system design for fire sprinkler systems&nbsp;</p><p>Create spool drawings that are clearly labeled and accurately dimensioned for construction feasibility and pre-fabrication</p><p>Assist in the development of the systems submittals and approval process thereof&nbsp;</p><p>Assist with coordination of design and installation in new construction and retrofit projects with project management and field staff</p><p>Field engineering: assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving, as required</p><p>Setup and model 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, and other BIM software</p><p>Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines</p><p>Manage files on share sites, network servers, and software platforms</p><p>Process and manage backgrounds provided by trade partners</p><p>Use Bluebeam or other drawing markup tools to coordinate changes with designers and engineers</p><p>Check completed work for quality, clarity, and use of ACCO BIM standards&nbsp;</p><p>Prepare project-deliverable packages for transmittal/submission</p><p>Communicate design and constructability issues/challenges with project team</p><p>Effectively and professionally communicate and foster collaboration with colleagues and project team members</p><p>Apply training and project experience, and demonstrate constant improvement of technical abilities</p><p>Other duties as assigned by Manager</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.):&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Proficient basic computer software skills (Windows Explorer, Word, Excel, Gmail)</p><p>Working knowledge and/or experience with BIM software such as AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong>:</p><p><i><strong>Required</strong>:</i></p><p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p><p>3+ years of experience in a similar role</p><p><i><strong>Desired</strong>:</i></p><p>Technical associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred</p><p>NICET I certification or higher preferred&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ACCO Competencies:</strong></p><p><strong>Proactivity/Initiative</strong>:&nbsp;Recognizes what needs to be done and accomplishes it in a manner appropriate for one’s level/position and with minimal supervision.</p><p><strong>Perseverance</strong>:&nbsp;Shows wherewithal to fight for difficult goals despite challenges and to bounce back from adversity.</p><p><strong>Motivation/Dedication</strong>:&nbsp;Commits to excellence in pursuing unselfish goals.&nbsp;Initiates action with collective goals, takes responsibility, and shows personal humility.</p><p><strong>Technical Curiosity/Willingness to Learn</strong>:&nbsp;Interest in seeking out new experiences, knowledge, and candid feedback; demonstrating an openness to learning and change.</p><p><strong>Insight</strong>:&nbsp;The ability to gather and make sense of information that suggests new possibilities.</p><p><strong>Engagement</strong>:&nbsp;Shows a knack for using emotion and logic to communicate a persuasive vision and connect with people.</p><p><strong>People Skills</strong>: Is approachable and gains the mutual trust and respect of others. Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch and two breaks.
