The intern will be involved in all aspects of volunteerism for the organization. This position will have limited direct service with guests of Lighthouse Mission Ministries.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span> $1000 stipend upon successful completion. </p>\n<p>*Please note: since this position is eligible to receive a stipend, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. <br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><span>Time Commitment: </span></span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">12-16 hours per week (or variable for credit) during Summer Quarter 2026 (6/23/26-8/21/26). Internship is set to begin the first week starting of the Summer Quarter, ending August 21st, 2026.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Internship tasks description: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help create social media posts, newsletter content, and other written content relevant to volunteerism </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist with project planning and implementation, and volunteer coordination</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help manage online information pertaining to events and volunteering</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Contribute to strategic meetings and brainstorming sessions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help create and facilitate volunteer appreciation initiatives and volunteer recognition events as schedule allows</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help streamline the onboarding process with volunteers, including picture name tags, the Volunteer Handbook, and updating the database in the Volunteer Hub</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Attend weekly department meeting if schedule allows</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Help host information tables at community events if needed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist with community engagement data and outreach</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Organizational Relationships:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">This internship will be supervised by the Director of Community Engagement. You will work alongside staff and volunteers in the Administration Department. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Qualifications: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">This internship is open to any college or university students seeking work experience for academic credit. Preference for candidates with an area of study of personal passion for Social Services. The internship is not an offer of employment- either during the course of the internship or a promise of employment afterwards. In recognition of the intern’s efforts and costs, LMM is pleased to offer a $1,000 stipend payment paid in a lump sum following the successful completion of the internship.
