AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.</p><p></p><h1><b>How you will create an impact</b></h1><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Core Network Engineer with deep expertise in core networking, cloud networking, application delivery, and enterprise infrastructure architecture. This role is critical to the design, engineering, modernization, and operational stability of a large-scale global network backbone supporting both on-premises and cloud environments.</p><p></p><p>The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience across core routing and switching, cloud networking, F5 application delivery technologies, hybrid connectivity, and large-scale enterprise network design. This individual will play a key role in driving network modernization initiatives, enhancing resiliency and scalability, and supporting critical business services across a global infrastructure footprint.</p><p></p><p>This position requires a senior-level engineer who can operate both strategically and tactically leading large initiatives, troubleshooting high-impact issues, and collaborating across infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams.</p><p></p><h1><b>What you&#39;ll need to succeed</b></h1><ul><li><p>Lead engineering in enterprise core network and cloud networking environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.</p></li><li><p>Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure network and traffic management solutions supporting enterprise applications and services.</p></li><li><p>Engineer and support core routing and switching infrastructure.</p></li><li><p>Engineer and support cloud networking architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.</p></li><li><p>Engineer and support F5 BIG-IP technologies (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM preferred).</p></li><li><p>Engineer and support hybrid cloud and data center interconnectivity solutions.</p></li><li><p>Serve as the senior technical lead for core network, cloud connectivity, and application delivery infrastructure initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Partner closely with network engineering, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, application teams, and vendors to deliver integrated solutions.</p></li><li><p>Provide expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex production incidents and performance issues.</p></li><li><p>Automate operational tasks and infrastructure workflows using scripting and infrastructure-as-code methodologies where applicable.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on resiliency, automation, observability, and service optimization.</p></li><li><p>Mentor operational engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.</p></li><li><p>Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through implementation and operational transition.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.</p></li><li><p>10&#43; years of experience in enterprise network engineering with deep expertise in core networking, cloud networking, application delivery infrastructure, hybrid cloud connectivity, and enterprise backbone architectures.</p></li><li><p>F5 certifications preferred.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with AppViewX and enterprise load balancer management platforms.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Prisma SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) technologies and cloud networking platforms such as Alkira is considered a strong advantage.</p></li><li><p>Exposure to Kubernetes ingress controllers, container networking, and modern application connectivity architectures.</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of network monitoring, telemetry, and observability platforms.</p></li><li><p>Experience supporting large enterprise or financial services environments preferred.</p></li><li><p>Advanced hands-on expertise in enterprise routing and switching technologies.</p></li><li><p>Strong cloud networking experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.</p></li><li><p>Deep expertise with F5 BIG-IP platforms, including LTM (required) and GTM/DNS (preferred).</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, SSL/TLS, routing, and switching technologies.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery network architectures.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of network segmentation, security frameworks, and enterprise security best practices.</p></li><li><p>Experience designing and supporting hybrid connectivity architectures including VPN, AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and cloud interconnect technologies.</p></li><li><p>Proven track record designing, implementing, and supporting highly available enterprise network infrastructures at scale.</p></li><li><p>Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Python, Terraform, and REST APIs.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure environments.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with technical and business teams.</p></li><li><p>Strong project delivery, documentation, and organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Ready to step up to new challenges?
