          "text": "<p>As the VP, Deputy General Counsel, you will be a pivotal leader and strategic partner to the executive team, overseeing the legal frameworks for our consumer marketplace and compliance program. This role requires a sophisticated legal expert capable of building proactive compliance systems for product and marketing teams.</p><p>The ideal candidate will transform the legal function from a gatekeeper into an accelerator, leveraging legal technology and AI to empower our business teams. You will be the primary legal architect for our consumer facing platform’s compliance, trust and safety protocols, and privacy standards.</p><ul><li><strong>Product Compliance: </strong>Serve as the lead legal advisor to Product teams throughout the development lifecycle, providing guidance on user flows, payment systems, and rating mechanisms.</li><li><strong>Marketing Compliance: </strong>Design and implement \"self-help\" toolkits, playbooks, and decision trees that empower marketing teams to handle routine compliance independently, including strategy for automating lower-level legal approvals and compliance checks (e.g., marketing copy review, claim verification) through the implementation of AI and legal-tech tools.</li><li><strong>Drafting &amp; Governance: </strong>Lead the drafting and maintenance of Terms of Service (ToS), Privacy Policies, and EULAs for our consumer-facing products, ensuring they are legally robust yet accessible. Review contracts related to the consumer product (marketing and strategic partnership agreements).</li><li><strong>Data Privacy: </strong>Sufficient familiarity with domestic and global privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR) to issue spot and ensure \"Privacy by Design\" is integrated into all consumer platform features.</li><li><strong>Trust &amp; Safety Partnership: </strong>Partner closely with the Trust &amp; Safety team to develop and refine protocols for incident response, background checks, and platform integrity.</li></ul>",
