The successful candidate will manage the construction of a variety of civil earthwork, civil infrastructure, environmental remediation, landfill construction and landfill-related construction such as landfill gas collection and conveyance system (LFGCCS), roads, and building construction or demolition; manage the construction process from conceptual development through final construction, navigating a variety of construction challenges and opportunities. We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand and manage construction work in compliance with technical specifications, construction drawings, and work plans;</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate proposed design modifications and concerns to the Engineer-of-Record in a timely and professional manner;</li>\n <li>Provide safety leadership on all projects by implementing and adhering to site-specific project health and safety plans, company guidelines, and best practices in construction safety;</li>\n <li>Review and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs), contractor submittals, clarifications regarding the contract documents, and pay applications (invoices) in a timely manner;</li>\n <li>Review and approve contractors’ construction quality control (CQC) procedures including material submittals and manufacturers’ quality control documents for completeness and compliance;</li>\n <li>Maintain complete and accurate files for all incoming and outgoing project communications;</li>\n <li>Maintain time and production records, analyze construction schedules and critical path management (CPM), and monitor construction progress with respect to approved schedules and assist contractor in optimizing CPM tasks whenever possible;</li>\n <li>Prepare weekly construction meeting agendas and meeting minutes in an orderly and timely manner;</li>\n <li>Approve and issue field change requests and request change orders for out-of-scope work;</li>\n <li>Review contractor change order requests and make recommendations to the client regarding the merit of change order requests. Approve change orders if delegated under client authority;</li>\n <li>Review field documentation and laboratory tests of construction materials for compliance with the project specifications;</li>\n <li>Establish, organize, and maintain field offices to provide a clean, orderly, and professional work environment;</li>\n <li>Identify and manage project staffing requirements to meet project demands; and</li>\n <li>Interact with project personnel including contractors, project managers, engineers and clients to cultivate an integrated and professional team approach through open lines of communication and participation in work progress meetings; and</li>\n <li>Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Geosyntec is open to several combinations of education, qualifications and experience.</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>High school diploma and ten (10) years of relevant experience in construction management, or</li>\n  <li>An associate degree or a college diploma and a minimum of eight (8) years of applicable experience, or </li>\n  <li>A bachelor’s degree in construction science, construction management, engineering, physical science, environmental science, or related subjects and a minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience, or </li>\n  <li>Equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, ability and construction management skills.</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Prior experience managing infrastructure construction or environmental remediation projects with high standards for safe work practices and compliance with regulations and client requirements. (required)</li>\n <li>Previous project management background and knowledge of CPM software. (preferred).</li>\n <li>Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows based software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint etc.). (required)</li>\n <li>Technical understanding of construction quality assurance, and/or construction management procedures for civil infrastructure, solid waste facilities, or environmental remediation projects. (required)</li>\n <li>Strong willingness to work at construction jobsites in a variety of locations, with interest in building a career in Construction Management. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided and 50-100 pounds with assistance and/or proper engineering controls. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to speak and hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic. (required)</li>\n <li>Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)</li>\n <li>Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation, for business travel. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees.
