Job Summary :
Teaches students effectively in assigned classes, labs, and clinicals and maintains office hours for student consultation.
Minimum Required Education:
Master’s Degree in Nursing and an unencumbered Texas RN license.
Minimum Required Experience:
Three years of work‐related experience.
Required Abilities:
Ability to be detail-oriented. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to think critically and apply appropriate problem-solving skills. Ability to articulate and support the values and Code of Conduct of Hill College. Ability to interpret and abide by the policies and procedures of Hill College Ability to operate instructional technology including LMS systems and distance learning tools. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information. Required Skills:

Performs and carries out instruction, including careful planning of the course, preparation of lessons, meeting all scheduled classes, clearly informing students of course requirements, and fairly and impartially grading all students in accordance with the standards established by the institution. Set a high standard in academic and scholarly excellence, personal integrity, and professional ethics. Conducts class discussions of subject matter within the scope of the course, the instructor's field of expertise, and professional competence. Maintains familiarity with recent publications and journals and participates in local or national professional societies and meetings where appropriate. Contributes to the development and review of curriculum. Adheres to the course syllabi and textbooks adopted for each course. Administers course evaluations to students as required by the Vice President of Student Learning and Success. Teaches classes as assigned by the appropriate Dean of Instruction, Program Coordinator and/or the Vice President of Instruction. Maintains work area, shops, labs, and/or equipment in safe and sound condition. Submits all reports in an appropriate and timely manner. Other Information:
