The individual in this role applies expertise in manufacturing methods and related technical disciplines to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement. Working independently, this individual plans, designs, and enhances processes by leveraging knowledge of product design, materials, tooling, equipment, assembly practices, and quality standards. They analyze workforce use, space needs, and process flow to create optimized layouts that improve throughput and reduce waste. The role also defines required equipment, tools, and processes and may lead project steps while supporting less experienced colleagues.\n<h2>Impact of the Role</h2>\n<h3>General Profile</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines </li>\n <li>Solves complex problems </li>\n <li>Works independently, receives minimal guidance</li>\n <li>May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives </li>\n <li>Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience</li>\n <li>Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.</li>\n <li> Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. </li>\n <li> Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.</li>\n <li> Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. </li>\n <li> Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes. </li>\n <li> Confers with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts. </li>\n <li> Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards.</li>\n <ul>\n  <h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience</li>\n   <li><strong>Discipline/Major:</strong> Engineering degree required</li>\n   <li><strong>Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills:</strong> Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Preferred education and experience:</strong> Bachelor's Degree</li>\n   <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Problem-solving skills. Analytical thinking skills. Design expertise.
