Description
Are you a full-stack engineer who wants to own problems end-to-end—from understanding user needs to shipping and iterating on solutions? Do you thrive in ambiguity and care deeply about real user impact? Are you looking for a role where you can shape a platform from day one? If so, read on.
About Us
If it’s high-stakes, high-security, or highly complex—Oxalis is built for it. We’re a consulting and technology partner for the organizations that keep the world running: life sciences, shipyards, government agencies, health systems, aerospace programs, and manufacturers with missions too critical to fail. We serve the people behind the mission—those building, healing, defending, and delivering where it matters most. As a Platinum Solution Partner for Atlassian and a trusted systems integrator for IFS, we specialize in secure cloud transformation, IT service management, ERP modernization, and Operational strategy. We focus especially on organizations navigating compliance-heavy environments and complex change.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Mid-Senior Product Engineer to join the core team of YardOS, a greenfield product built for operational excellence in complex, compliance-driven environments. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a modern, AI-enhanced platform from its earliest stages. This is an engineering-first role. You’ll own the complete cycle, understanding customer problems, designing solutions, building features, and measuring impact.
This is not a role where you execute handed-down specs—you’ll drive what gets built and why.
You Will
Guide architectural decisions Strengthen reliability in high-stakes domains Contribute to a thoughtful, healthy engineering culture
Key Responsibilities
Understand user workflows, identify pain points, and determine what to build (not just how to build it) Work directly with stakeholders and end-users to validate assumptions, gather requirements, and prioritize ruthlessly Ship complete solutions end-to-end and own the full feature lifecycle Build across the full stack (Vue.js frontend, Node.js backend, PostgreSQL database) Design pragmatic solutions, balancing technical quality with speed to market Use AI development tools to accelerate iteration and focus on high-impact work Integrate AI capabilities into the product to improve user workflows Define success metrics, instrument features, analyze usage data, and continuously improve Shape product direction, advocate for users, and push back when priorities don’t align with user value
About You Extensive professional software engineering experience (or equivalent depth) Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript (Vue, React, or Svelte + Node.js) Solid database experience (PostgreSQL or similar: schema design, queries, optimization) Experience building and shipping REST APIs Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment (AWS preferred) Familiarity with offline-first patterns, event-driven architectures, or distributed systems Experience owning features from conception through post-launch iteration Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders Experience translating business needs into technical solutions Familiarity with AI tools to improve development velocity and impact Track record of shipping features that users actually adopt Experience working closely with product managers, designers, or end-users Experience in fast-moving or early-stage environments where you wore multiple hats
Nice to Have
Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy industries (healthcare, finance, logistics) Experience with usability testing or product discovery Familiarity with PowerSync, ElectricSQL, or similar offline sync technologies Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, or AI agent frameworks Experience with CQRS, event sourcing, or domain-driven design Exposure to Keycloak, enterprise authentication systems, or multi-tenancy patterns Understanding of job queues (Graphile Worker, BullMQ) or vector databases (pgvector)
Why Work for Us?
Join Oxalis and help transform how regulated industries operate through cutting-edge solutions. At Oxalis, leadership means owning your impact, empathy shapes our people-first culture, growth is constant, quality defines everything we deliver, curiosity drives us to solve complex challenges
Equal Opportunity Statement
Oxalis provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
The posted salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000.
