If you are looking for a position where you will continue to grow, learn and have fun, Next Level Urgent Care IS the place for you!</p><p>We are seeking high energy Non-Certified Radiologic Technicians and Limited Medical Radiologic Technologists (LMRT) and Radiologic Technologists (RT) that are ready to take their skills to the Next Level (literally) in patient care.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Title: Non-Certified Technologist Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) or Radiology Technologist (RT)</strong></p><p><br><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>The NCT, LMRT or RT follows prescribed techniques for producing general and specific x-rays for diagnostic purposes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Physician/Medical Provider. &nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>NCTs, LMRTs, and RTs will also function as medical assistants.</li><li>Anyone taking x-rays must have a verified current license on the Texas Medical Board Verification site.</li><li>All are required to notify the Clinical Director and HR of any changes in their license status. &nbsp;Failure to do so may result in termination of employment.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>General Accountabilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prepare patient for x-ray, explain procedures to patient and/or family, prepare room, equipment, and materials needed. &nbsp;Position patient and arrange immobilization and support devices for patient.</li><li>Practice radiation protection techniques to limit exposure to patient and medical staff. &nbsp;Adjust equipment controls, determine proper voltage, and exposure time.</li><li>Assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently. &nbsp;Greet patients in waiting area, escort patients to a room, initiate registration process.</li><li>Measure vital signs, and record information on chart/EMR.</li><li>Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam room for examination.</li><li>Assist the Physician/Medical Provider with procedures.</li><li>Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment. &nbsp;Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use. Assist in maintaining adequate level of supplies and instruments for use by the facility.</li><li>Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, electrocardiograph, pulse ox, peak flow and or spirometry and inhalation treatment equipment.</li><li>Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and collect, label and process specimens for send-out.</li><li>Perform both DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensure preparation for pick-up and shipment to the appropriate laboratory.</li><li>Remove sutures/staples and change sterile and non-sterile dressings.</li><li>Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. &nbsp;Demonstrates the safe operation of equipment and machinery and follows procedures for reporting and correcting an unsafe situation.</li><li>Demonstrates the importance of continuing education to the performance of responsibilities and growth in profession.</li><li>Participate in Quality Improvement and Mandatory education/training programs.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>&nbsp;High school graduate or equivalent</li><li>&nbsp;Current certification and/or state licensure in radiology technology.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Knowledge of specific and OSHA requirements regarding radiological procedures.</li><li>&nbsp;BCLS certification.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Ability to work all shifts including day, night, and weekend hours as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Basic computer skills; including familiarity with electronic medical records.&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Environmental and physical requirements</strong> &nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently, have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing and sterile technique skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients, families and Physician/Medical Providers.&nbsp;</li><li>Vision for near, mid-range, far and accommodation. &nbsp;Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.&nbsp;</li><li>Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist.&nbsp;</li><li>Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease. &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>We Offer:</strong></p><p>&middot; Competitive pay</p><p>&middot; Excellent benefits including 401(k)</p><p>&middot; Incentive and bonus plans</p><p>&middot; State of the art clinics</p><p>&middot; Growth opportunities</p><p>&middot; 12 hour shifts and alternating weekends which equal extended time off</p><p>&middot; Locations throughout Houston</p>\n    </div>\n  \n",
