Location: 238 Virginia Ave, Campbell, CA 95008
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals of all ages regain and improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their quality of life. You will assess patients with a variety of physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges, including those recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and orthopedic conditions. Your work will involve designing and implementing personalized rehabilitation programs that focus on restoring independence and functional skills. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure comprehensive care that addresses each patient’s unique needs. Ultimately, your efforts will empower patients to achieve their highest level of autonomy and well-being in their home, work, and community environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current and valid Occupational Therapist license to practice in the United States. Demonstrated experience in rehabilitation settings, including working with neurological and orthopedic patient populations. Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques related to sensory integration, physical therapy, and functional rehabilitation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in specialized areas such as geriatric rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, or pediatric occupational therapy. Experience working with patients with cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injury. Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment for enhancing patient independence. Additional training or certification in physical therapy techniques. Experience in interdisciplinary team leadership or case management. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities and limitations. Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques tailored to patient goals. Implement rehabilitation interventions for conditions such as geriatric impairments, cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and orthopedic injuries. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support daily living activities. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. The required skills in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and rehabilitation are applied daily to evaluate patient needs and develop effective treatment plans that promote recovery and independence. Expertise in geriatric rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation allows you to tailor interventions for older adults and those recovering from neurological events, ensuring targeted and meaningful therapy. Knowledge of cerebral palsy and orthopedic rehabilitation enables you to address complex motor and sensory challenges through specialized therapeutic activities. Sensory integration skills are essential for designing interventions that improve patients’ processing and response to sensory stimuli, enhancing their functional abilities. Additionally, your ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with patients and families ensures holistic care and supports successful rehabilitation outcomes.
