It is the world’s leading center for pediatric burn care and is the only American Burn Association (ABA) exclusively pediatric verified burn center in New England and New York.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>The<strong> Sterile Processing Technician</strong> is responsible for providing reprocessed supplies and equipment required by all departments that render patient care.  In this position, you'll ensure that all instruments are sterile, which will help maintain a safe environment for our patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Hours:  This part-time position will work 32 hours per week (4 - 8 hour shifts) Monday - Friday with no weekends or holidays.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The pay range for this position is $21.78 hourly to $32.67 hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The Sterile Processing Tech shall be knowledgeable and implement the decontamination, preparing and sterilization of surgical supplies and equipment.</li>\n <li>Assembles case carts containing consumable supplies and instrumentation. </li>\n <li>Cleans/decontaminates surgical instruments.</li>\n <li>Identifies and assembles multiple types of surgical instruments and instrument sets.</li>\n <li>Inspects instruments, replaces or send for repairs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is not an all inclusive list of this job's responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1 year working with surgical instruments</li>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED</li>\n <li>Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)</li>\n</ul>",
