Our research dives into timely and relevant topics, such as <a href=\"https://www.wcirb.com/research-and-education/research-studies-and-reports/impacts-employee-tenure-workers%E2%80%99-compensation-claim-frequency-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">employee tenure</a>, <a href=\"https://www.wcirb.com/research-and-education/research-studies-and-reports/long-covid-california-workers%E2%80%99-compensation-system-2024-update\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">long COVID</a>, and <a href=\"https://www.wcirb.com/research-and-education/research-studies-and-reports/does-experience-rating-help-keep-workers-safe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\">the effectiveness of experience rating in promoting workplace safety</a>. We also push boundaries by exploring how climate change and AI may influence the workers&rsquo; compensation landscape in the years ahead.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><br><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Data Analyst:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assist with the implementation of medical and classification analytics projects through:</span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Independently developing well-documented and reproducible scripts in SQL, R or Python for pulling and wrangling data for the Analyst&rsquo;s own work and for the use of research staff in studies or to address ad-hoc requests.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Performing accuracy and reasonableness checks to assure quality of the working dataset is appropriate to each study.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Communicating clearly to research staff the rules employed to prepare the working datasets for study.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assisting with statistical analyses (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression analysis, predictive modeling) to answer key research questions.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Developing data visualization to effectively highlight trends and patterns.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Preparing tables and figures to present analysis results in reports and presentations.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assuring analysis results are accurate following the Data Analytics team review protocol.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Providing technical and peer review of other analysts&rsquo; work.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Communicating results via written and oral presentations.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Develop and maintain automation of routine analysis data and reporting tasks, including annual and quarterly medical benchmarking reports.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Interact and communicate with representatives of other units of the WCIRB on various analytics-related and operational projects and issues.</li></ul><h1><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Education, Experience, and Skill Qualifications<strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></h1><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
