Position Description: The Department of Natural, Health, and Mathematical Sciences at MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU), invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of adjunct instructor of mathematics education. The current need is for an instructor to teach MATH 2213 Math for the Elementary Teacher I (offered every fall) and Math for the Elementary Teacher II (offered every spring). Curriculum is provided. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and to Christian education. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate mathematics courses for students who are entering Elementary Education or Mathematics Education. Work under the direction of full-time Math faculty member and the chair for the department of education. Maintain up to date records of student grades. Submit grades at midterm and end of semester. Qualifications Qualifications: A terminal degree in Math or a related field preferred. An MS in math or a related field will be considered Ability to work collaboratively with department chairs and full-time math faculty. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teaching.
