This role requires proficiency in Ammonia Refrigeration, as well as strong electrical and plumbing troubleshooting skills. The technician ensures all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, GMP, and facility standards.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform repairs and adjustments on refrigeration systems and complete electrical work in accordance with OSHA standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Test, maintain, and evaluate equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Test, calibrate, and maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain tools and machinery in good working condition and use equipment safely and as instructed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Respond to security alarm calls as required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Keep work areas clean and perform housekeeping duties.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work flexible schedules as required by operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Respond to after-hours facility call-backs as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform related duties and other job assignments as required.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>Education</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school graduate or equivalent preferred</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>Work Experience</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">4 - 5 years Ammonia refrigeration maintenance mechanic experience required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Successfully completed four (4) RETA courses preferred.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>Skills and Knowledge</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to read, interpret, and follow written job instructions, diagrams, and pencil sketches.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong understanding and compliance with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to follow and comply with established quality standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Basic PC proficiency (keyboard/mouse).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong knowledge of safe work practices and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented tasks.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Understanding of P&amp;IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Knowledge of equipment commonly used in ammonia refrigeration maintenance.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to obtain and maintain a valid hi-lo (forklift) license if required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability and willingness to complete HAZMAT 24-hour training.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">OSHA and PSM (Process Safety Management) knowledge is a plus.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 31px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">None</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS</u></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">As part of a team-based work environment, must be able to demonstrate the following Job Competencies:</p><p><u>Job Competencies</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 31px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Attendance - Be punctual for work daily and maintain an acceptable attendance record according to company standards and policies.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Focus &ndash; Maintains focus on tasks and does not stray from job assignments.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reliability/Dependability &ndash; Responds to internal customer needs, questions, and concerns in accurate and timely manner.
