Our owners are proud Utahns.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong>: Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, a shop foreman is responsible to assist directing the daily activity of the repair shop and helping to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and healthful manner. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.</li>\n <li>Assist in managing all shop employees, equipment, plant maintenance, and condition of facility. </li>\n <li>Assist in managing the completion of maintenance projects. </li>\n <li>Participate in setting and overseeing the achievement of performance standard goals. </li>\n <li>Assist in scheduling equipment for repair. </li>\n <li>Maintain tools as required to do the job.</li>\n <li>Maintain commercial driver’s license (CDL) and department of transportation (DOT) medical card.</li>\n <li>Operate forklift.</li>\n <li>Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts.</li>\n <li>Maintain insurable driving record.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.</li>\n <li>Work closely with Equipment Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, and Operations teams.</li>\n <li>Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and actionable format.</li>\n <li>Ensure all fleet data is accurately documented and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.</li>\n <li>Assist in audits and reporting for environmental, safety, and operational standards.</li>\n <li>Provide recommendations for asset reallocation, retirement, or acquisition.</li>\n <li>Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with utilization data.</li>\n <li>UHP safety inspection certificate required. Manage on-site safety inspections. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Education and/or Experience</u></strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).</li>\n <li>Two year diesel mechanic certificate preferred.</li>\n <li>Five to seven years experience at journeyman mechanic level.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Demands:</u> </strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Sitting: </strong>50% of the time</li>\n <li><strong>Standing: </strong>50% of the time</li>\n <li><strong>Driving: </strong>15% of the time</li>\n <li><strong>Weight lifted: </strong>Up to 50 pounds<strong> </strong></li>\n <li><strong>Physical Movement: </strong>Will frequently kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend or twist body, use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, stretch, bend, push pull, lift, or carry heavy objects, support body for long periods of time.</li>\n <li><strong>Speaking / Listening: </strong>Needs to be able to communicate effectively with supervision, follow instructions, and understand safety requirements. Needs to be able to hear sounds and recognize difference between them as well as focus on one source of sound and ignore others.</li>\n <li><strong>Working Conditions: </strong>Exposed to hazardous equipment, situations, and conditions. Sometimes will work outdoors at work site and indoors in the repair shop, exposed to all weather conditions.
