    "description": "<p>This position is for a person who enjoys being on the move, working independently, and serving as the face of Lake Geneva Country Meats to our wholesale partners. You will be responsible for ensuring that our quality meats reach their destination safely, on time, and with a friendly smile. We combine a USDA-inspected sausage kitchen and custom processing facility with a gourmet retail store. We value people who are passionate about food, want to provide exceptional experiences for our customers, and are committed to continuous improvement.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Essential job functions</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Load orders assembled by you and our production team as well as delivery stock into our delivery vehicle.</li>\n<li>Safely drive the delivery vehicle to each wholesale account on the day's schedule and deliver their order, or check their stock, write an order, and fulfill it.</li>\n<li>Assist with company errands, including picking up orders from vendors.</li>\n<li>Assist with labeling and organizing products in our coolers to ensure they are ready for delivery.</li>\n<li>Keep the delivery vehicle fully fueled and at proper tire pressures, and inform management of oil changes and other maintenance needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Competencies</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reliability and punctuality with a strong sense of responsibility regarding schedules and deadlines.</li>\n<li>A personable attitude with a desire to be helpful and build relationships with our customers.</li>\n<li>A detail-oriented mindset to double-check orders and make sure the right product goes to the right account.</li>\n<li>A clean driving record with a valid driver's license and a history of safe driving.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Schedule</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The starting schedule is based on our current delivery schedule:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday 6 AM - Noon</li>\n<li>Tuesday 6 AM - Noon</li>\n<li>Wednesday 6 AM - Noon</li>\n<li>Friday 6 AM - Noon</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Hours may vary based on season, with more hours during peak summer and holiday seasons, and special deliveries as needed.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Work environment</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position primarily works in a company delivery vehicle and outdoors during deliveries, regardless of weather conditions. Significant time is also spent in our stock areas, which includes refrigerated and freezer environments.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Physical requirements</span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">This position must be able to:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Fluently communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Lift, push, and pull boxes up to 50 pounds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Frequently get in and out of a delivery vehicle throughout the shift.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Spend short amounts of time in freezers that are kept at 0ºF.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Education and experience</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous professional driving or delivery experience is preferred.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Lake Geneva and the surrounding SE Wisconsin/Northern Illinois area is a benefit.</li>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent is required.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Other duties</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(73, 73, 73)\">Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
