Responsible for completing work in a safe, courteous and efficient manner to exact client specifications.</p><h1>Duties and Responsibilities:</h1><p>Completes assigned residential and/or multi-dwelling unit cable television, high speed data, and/or telephone installations, reconnects, disconnects, and/or changes of services to exact client specifications.</p><p>Installs modem, converters and related hardware.</p><p>Installs drops, grounds, outlets, converters, telephone services and other cable devices.</p><p>Checks customer television reception and properly tunes television set on cable installations. Checks computer functions and internet connections on HSD installations. Checks telephone connections on telephone installations.</p><p>Thoroughly and effectively explains use of all services and equipment to customers. Has ability to solve technical problems with customer through effective verbal communications.</p><p>Follows installation specifications and procedures as outlined by the cable company and supervisor.</p><p>Follows established and proven safety practices &nbsp;at all times. &nbsp; Recognizes, &nbsp;practices &nbsp;and enforces safety rules and procedures when performing technical tasks. Reports accidents, &nbsp; injuries, &nbsp;unsafe acts or conditions in a timely manner.</p><p>Properly maintains company vehicle, tools and equipment.</p><p>Handles monetary transactions with customers accurately and submits monies and paperwork accordingly to established procedure.</p><p>Reviews, completes and obtains signatures on all customer work orders and ensures all paperwork is properly and accurately completed. Submits accurate, legible and timely documentation accordingly to established procedure.</p><p>Reports all customer field complaints and/or damage claims to supervisor immediately.</p><p>Presents a positive, professional image to the customers and client cable companies in all interactions.</p><p>Provides technical knowledge, expertise and training to other installers as required.</p><p>Daily or overnight travel may be required as work adjustments occur. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.</p><p><strong><u>Required Knowledge, Skills and&nbsp;Abilities:</u></strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Must be able to lift, carry and climb eighty pound 28 foot extension ladders, which are rated at a capacity of 300 lbs.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to work year round outdoors in all types of weather conditions.&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to routinely stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or crawl and work in attics, basements and crawl spaces on a regular basis.</p><p>Must&nbsp;have&nbsp;a&nbsp;valid&nbsp;driver&#39;s&nbsp;license&nbsp;and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;a&nbsp;good&nbsp;driving&nbsp;record. Must be able to work routine&nbsp;overtime.</p><p>Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, technical personnel, service/dispatch personnel, other contractors, and the general public.</p><p>Good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.</p><p>Strong work team orientation; with the ability to work with others to accomplish tasks; can be an individual contributor and part of a team effort.</p><h1>Education and Work Experience:</h1><p>A&nbsp;High&nbsp;School&nbsp;Diploma&nbsp;or&nbsp;GED&nbsp;preferred.&nbsp;Basis&nbsp;electronics&nbsp;or&nbsp;cable&nbsp;television&nbsp;coursework&nbsp;is&nbsp;helpful.
