Overview C4ISR Engineering Technicians (Shipboard) Chesapeake, VA GLOTECH, Inc. is looking for various levels of C4ISR Engineering Technicians to join our team! GLOTECH, Inc., founded in 1995, is a privately and minority-owned company serving military, federal and commercial clients - http://www.glotech.net/about-us/ We are a successful Information Technology firm with a large staff currently providing superior information technology and advanced engineering services around the world. Our success is built on attracting and retaining quality staff through a highly competitive benefits package with a special focus on continuing career development and corporate financial support. We also maintain a collegial working environment and offer our staff opportunities to improve and enhance their skills. To provide the best possible service to our customers and assist in establishing the procedures and processes that would aid our staff in producing quality services and products, we sought and achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification and were successfully appraised at CMMI Level 3. We maintain a formal quality management system and have adopted continuous quality improvement as a basic principle and underpinning for all work we perform, whether for customers or corporate support functions. Our senior managers bring decades of experience in their respective areas of expertise, including in executive-level, leadership roles in the federal government, and use the knowledge gained to achieve superior program and project performance. Responsibilities Performs a variety of engineering/technical tasks including but not limited to equipment repair, cabling, inspection, installs, modifications, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment. Attaches fiber optic connectors, RJ-45 connectors, and DB type connectors, and dresses cable installations so that the finished product presents a well-organized and professional appearance. Installs CANES, NMT, ADNS, COMSEC, KW46, and other various systems. Works with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and C4ISR system installations. Travel may be required to various work sites, including OCONUS. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent with current and active OSHA 10 certification. Experience installing C4ISR equipment for the US Navy. Must have experience with and working knowledge of NAVSEA standard concepts and policies/procedures within the field of electronics repair, fabrication, and installation. Possess the ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance. Applicant must be willing to travel to various work sites, including OCONUS. Must be proficient as a C4ISR system installer, with prior practical work experience with Department of Defense and/or major telecommunications services or equipment providers. Understanding of and experience complying with with drawings completed in accordance with the SPAWAR Afloat Installation Process Handbook. Skilled and experienced in the safe and efficient operation of common installation power and hand tools including hand-held saws, drills, hole punches, levels, crimpers, fusion splicers, and conduit benders. Skilled in the operation of all commonly used installation test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, VSWR meters, Bit-Error Rate Test Sets, and CAT 5e/6 cable testers. Possess a consistent record of good workmanship and compliance to applicable work and industry standards. Possess the ability to work with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and C4ISR system installations. Must be able to work in high heat spaces, confined spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, and lift up to 50 pounds Desired Qualifications: Multi-pin, fiber optic connector, Air-blown fiber, and KITCO certifications.
