We manufacture turbine blades and vanes for many of the largest gas turbine manufactures and militaries around the world. We use high precision CNC milling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and 3 and 5-axis creep feed and CBN grinding.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Metrology Engineer is responsible for ensuring conformance to established calibration schedules for all tools related to quality measurement and leading Gage Calibration Technicians. &nbsp;While doing this task, achieving quality, cost and delivery objectives for assigned projects.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Requirements</u></strong></p><p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Identify and locate gages due for calibration&nbsp;using Gage Trak calibration management software.</li><li>Strong ability to interpret Engineering drawings/ blueprints / GD&amp;T specifications required.</li><li>Calibrate unique tools to print requirements utilizing dial test indicators, height masters, sine plates, gage blocks, etc.</li><li>Record calibration results and work with engineering &amp; quality teams to evaluate/approve return to production.</li><li>Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter. &nbsp;</li><li>Work with Quality Engineering on specific projects as needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Qualifications and Education Required&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of related experience in the gage calibration field.</li><li>1 year manufacturing experience in tight tolerance production.</li><li>Experience with Gage Track or other calibration management software.</li><li>Ability to work quickly and accurately in a supportive manufacturing role.</li><li>Familiar with inspection techniques and bench gage equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, drop gages, optical comparators, etc.</li><li>Ability to recognize and identify discrepancies in measuring equipment, parts or inspection equipment</li><li>Must be able to read indicators and use tools as detailed above.</li><li>Must be able to read and interpret complex blueprints for custom gages.</li><li>Ability to read, write, and speak English for customer, job and equipment specifications.</li><li>Experience using measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, gages.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office.</li><li>Must be able to work flexible shifts as business need dictates.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Tool making experience, preferred.</li><li>5S standards experience preferred.</li><li>Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.&nbsp;</li><li>Prior experience working in aerospace manufacturing industry.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Physical Demands</u></strong></p><p>Talking, hearing, and using hands to operate calibration equipment and tools. &nbsp;Must be able to lift parts at least 25lbs frequently and on occasion up to 50lbs at or above waist level. &nbsp;Ability to use a computer is required.
