This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in industrial maintenance&mdash;especially within the steel industry&mdash;and hands-on experience working with cut-to-length lines, slitter lines, shears, and other heavy-duty production equipment.</p><p>&nbsp;Must have experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems is essential. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and adhering to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience working within a PM and inventory program.</li><li>Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on facility equipment.</li><li>Diagnose and repair motors, gear drives, conveyor systems, motor control centers, pneumatic/hydraulic components, and production line machinery.</li><li>Execute mechanical tasks including welding, machining, grinding, drilling, and metal fabrication.</li><li>Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed to support production.</li><li>Utilize diagnostic tools (e.g., volt-ohm-amp meters) to troubleshoot and service motor control panels and electrical systems.</li><li>Adhere to safety protocols and best practices within the maintenance team.</li><li>Collaborate with production and operations teams to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.</li><li>Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule for emergency maintenance coverage.</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prior experience in a steel processing or heavy industrial manufacturing environment.</li><li>Hands-on familiarity with cut-to-length lines, slitter lines, shears, and coil handling systems.</li><li>Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.</li><li>Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including basic PLC troubleshooting.</li><li>Proficient with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.</li><li>Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.</li></ul><p>Core Competencies:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Effective communicator across departments and functions.</li><li>Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.</li><li>Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.</li><li>Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands and priorities.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred; relevant experience may be substituted.</li><li>7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting, preferably in steel or metals industry.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems</li><li>OSHA safety certification or equivalent training is a plus.</li></ul><p>Working Conditions:&nbsp;Plant environment, physical labor.</p><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
