Gilbane is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial administration and management for a business by communicating profitability and potential risks, assisting the controller for month-end close, and managing Work in Process (WIP) while overseeing a business with a revenue of $50M-100M. You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages all business unit expenses</li>\n <li>Oversees Accountants and trains in all home office reporting requirements</li>\n <li>Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks</li>\n <li>Manages workload and performance of direct reports including Account Practitioners, Senior Accountants, and Accountants, ensuring alignment with overall company standards</li>\n <li>Assists the Business Controller with staff meetings and peer group meetings regularly</li>\n <li>Ensures that forecasts are complete for all projects</li>\n <li>Manages the monthly closing process for the business</li>\n <li>Assists with the development of a cushion/risk analysis</li>\n <li>Assists the Business Controller with quarterly forecasts</li>\n <li>Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and enagage team members</li>\n <li>Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field</li>\n <li>5-10 years of experience</li>\n <li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word</li>\n <li>Ability to learn construction management and payment management software</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.</p>\n<p>For Maryland, this ranges from $113,000.00-$145,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
