Description

Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: Relocation assistance available. As a Performance Assessment Engineer, you will be part of a team developing software tools and conducting in-depth analysis to evaluate and enhance the performance of Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, data analysts, and system architects to support system optimization on a high-profile defense contract. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: - Programming languages including Java, C++, Python, data base management, networking or data communications - Must have experience producing tooling and products to assist the with the analysis or assessment of a system or project is desired preferably in java and python languages - Experience with DevOps related tooling (Jenkins, HTCondor, GitLab, etc) is desired - Familiarity with applying statistical distributions in hypothesis testing, model validation, inferential statistics, confidence-interval estimation, and the interpretation of goodness-of-fit tests is preferred - Experience with performing systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is desirable - Experience with creating and briefing chart packages for tooling or analysis performed What sets you apart: Ability to lead the software development process Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation Our Commitment to You: An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development.
