    "descriptionText": "Description\n\nReporting to the Fabrication Supervisor the CNC Set up Operator organizes and sets up the manufacturing equipment to produce finished good to spec as identified by the engineering drawings.\n\n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \n\nThe duties and responsibilities of the CNC Set up Operator are detailed below, but not limited to the following:\n\n Set Up and operate all CNC and other machines in the Fabrication Department in an effective and cost efficient manner while maintaining good quality and safety standards; some programming may be required\n Make adjustments to the machining program as required\n Fabricate the required parts based on the Fabrication Drawing\n Perform required PM checks daily as required\n Follow work order specifications and packing instructions\n Read and follow all notes in the computer system (Epics)\n Ensure first piece sample is double checked by other plant personnel\n Ensure material is identified and all work order data is correct before production\n Ensure incoming materials are to spec before proceeding with fabrication\n Responsible for reporting equipment malfunction\n On time order completion\n Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirements\n Perform other jobs as required\n\n Requirements\n\n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \n\n Education/Experience \n\n High School diploma and relevant production experience is desirable\n Some education in CNC is considered a strong asset\n Candidates should have a minimum of 1 2 years’ experience in CNC Set Up/Machine Operation\n\n Technical Skills/Competence \n\n Must have good team building and motivational skills\n Should have a good command in English, written and oral with the ability to train other employees\n Must be familiar with precision measuring instruments and the ability to read drawings\n Ability to work well with numbers is essential\n A solid understanding of the following equipment/technology; CNC machine, square, tape measure, punch press/press brake, Mastercam software, linear measuring machine, weighting scale, drills, digital calliper, Faro cmm, calculator deburring wheel\n Experience with Epics considered an asset\n\n Benefits\n\nWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that goes beyond base pay, supporting your health, growth, and long term success:\n\n Profit Sharing\n Health & Dental\n Health Care Spending Account\n Education Assistance Program\n Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\n Company Events\n Floater Days\n Paid Holidays\n Shift Premiums\n Annual safety footwear reimbursement program\n\nThe expected pay range for this position is $22.44 – $27.55 per hour.
