          "text": "<p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p>Responsible for turns purchasing of assigned items using existing procedures and tools. Responsible for purchase order accuracy, including correct items and costs. Responsible for inventory management of assigned items. Achieves or exceeds budgeted service level and spoilage. Helps to identify and report inventory discrepancies. Approves received purchase orders for vendor payment. Coordinates activities with other buyers under the direction of the regional procurement manager and/or procurement supervisor.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities, Including but Not Limited To:</strong></p><ul><li>Use best practice for order writing and inventory management.</li><li>Follow best practice for purchase order management.</li><li>Follow established buying cycles for assigned items.</li><li>Effectively manage product costing following best practice.</li><li>Follow established inbound and intra-company logistics procedures.</li><li>Communicate potential inventory issues, prorates, and cost changes in a timely manner.</li><li>Work with vendors to resolve product damage and quality issues and/or quantity discrepancies.</li><li>Manage related claims.</li><li>Learn and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for fill rate, variance management, proper inbound freight maintenance, PO accuracy, contract compliance, and other assigned KPIs.</li><li>Consistently demonstrate ownership of and responsibility for items managed and one’s results.</li><li>Provides administrative support to the procurement department as needed.</li><li>All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager, supervisor, or key personnel if they witness any compromise to food safety or food quality.</li><li>Additional responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>",
