We provide on-site calibration and repairs on instrumentation equipment.  A Field   A Field Service Technician will work independently, and be responsible for customer relations, productive use of time and personal safety. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Work safely at customer sites completing calibrations, installations, and repairs of instrumentation and control equipment such as Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Transmitters, Flow Meters, Level Transmitters and their associated devices in process plants and manufacturing plants.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Carry out assigned tasks working independently or with a team of field service professionals and engineers. This position receives work assignments from and reports to the area service manager.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation and controls that are not operational or not performing as expected.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Work with our team to recommend changes to existing instrumentation and controls helping our customers optimize and improve the reliability and accuracy of their processes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Document all work performed using Gerhart provided tablet and phone-app based software packages.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Our work will always require the use of proper PPE for the task at hand and will occasionally require following LOTO procedures and operation of manlifts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">There are occasions where we need to respond to emergency repair requests outside normal working hours and you may eventually become part of our rotating on-call schedule to support that.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional skills and qualifications of value if you have them!</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Technical aptitude on mechanical and electronic systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Familiarity with the usage of multimeters, clamp meters, and signal simulators</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience with usage of a Multifunction process calibrator, and loop calibrators</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Good communication and proven customer relations skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Previous relatable instrumentation experience.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Able to read and understand device installation and operation manuals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Able to interpret, install, and troubleshoot instrumentation and controls in accordance with basic PID and electrical schematics.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Able to use various test equipment, measuring devices, hand tools, power tools, and gauges associated with working on industrial instrumentation in the field.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license for your state of residence.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Physically able to bend, crawl, and lift 50 lb in a safe manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Computer proficient with Excel, Work, Outlook, Teams, and other software platforms.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Give Gerhart a try!   We are a diverse company providing systems integrations, field service and turn-key installations of Process Automation Systems, Industrial Weighing Equipment and Process Instrumentation.  We seek great candidates to join our team of talented employees and contribute to our continued success and growth.
