About New Oaks Academy
New Oaks Academy (NOA) is a licensed private school within Belmont Behavioral Health System, serving students with intensive academic and behavioral needs in an inpatient setting. Our dual service model provides a supportive, standards-aligned education in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. We prioritize compassion, structure, and growth, recognizing that healing and learning go hand in hand.
Position Summary
We are seeking passionate, collaborative, and student-centered Teachers across multiple content areas to join our expanding team. Teachers at NOA deliver individualized, standards-based instruction while actively supporting students’ social-emotional and behavioral growth. They play a central role in maintaining IEP compliance, engaging students through experiential learning, and building a safe, structured classroom environment.

Instruction & Planning
Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons using the Gradual Release of Responsibility model.
Assess and track academic progress regularly; provide timely, actionable feedback.
Support IEP development, documentation, and compliance in partnership with the Special Education Team.
Integrate therapeutic and academic strategies to meet each student's unique needs.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field
Active Pennsylvania Teacher Certification in Content Area of Need (or willingness to pursue if eligible)
Preferred:
Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs (1+ year preferred)
Familiarity with special education laws and IEP processes
Strong communication, organization, and reflective practice skills
