We are an equal opportunity employer including veterans and people with disabilities.</span></span><br><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>A Brief Overview</strong></span></span><br><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist by performing technical functions associated with drug distribution in accordance with specific provisions, standards, and State and Federal laws and regulations. Depending upon assignment, the principal areas of drug distribution may include unit dose, intravenous and oral drug compounding, TPN preparation, inventory control, automated dispensing equipment and related duties, as required. Customer service, teamwork and communication are important job functions.</span></span><br><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Essential Functions</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Compounds and/or prepares medications (non-sterile &amp; sterile products, oral, topical, etc) including all hazardous medications safely and accurately in a timely manner.&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with USP 795, 797 and 800 standards and other regulatory requirements which allow safe and accurate preparation and/or compounding of medications. This includes regular documentation of tasks in record-keeping systems.&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Delivers, exchanges medications to the respective patient care area and returns unused medications to the pharmacy&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Responds to and triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy services&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Operates and supports automated dispensing technology&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Appropriately utilizes and manages technology used in the day-to-day preparation, labeling and delivery of pharmaceutical care&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Responsible for maintaining established stock levels of medications and supplies within the pharmacy as well as patient care areas.&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Rotates inventory and completes expiration date management&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Completes regulatory compliance inspection of medication storage areas&nbsp;</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Participates in a variety of process improvement initiatives</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Perform physical requirements as described in the Physical Requirements section</span></span></li></ul><p><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Education Qualifications</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must be at least 18 years of age.
