The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, scholarship, service, and student mentorship within MPH and DrPH programs, with a primary emphasis on doctoral education.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Teaching</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Teach primarily courses within the Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program.</li>\n <li>Teach MPH-level courses in Biostatistics and Epidemiology.</li>\n <li>Teach DrPH courses related to:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Stata and other statistical software applications</li>\n  <li>Health services research</li>\n  <li>Doctoral research seminars</li>\n  <li>Research seminars</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of innovative, high-quality instruction that integrates theory, applied public health practice, and quantitative methods.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Curriculum Development</strong></p>\n<p>A key responsibility of this position is collaboration with the Department Chair and faculty to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Revise and strengthen curricula and course syllabi;</li>\n <li>Support integration of biomedical sciences with public health education;</li>\n <li>Enhance interdisciplinary and practice-oriented learning opportunities within MPH and DrPH programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Dissertation Supervision and Student Advising</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as dissertation chair and dissertation committee member for DrPH students;</li>\n <li>Advise and mentor MPH and DrPH students regarding academic progress, research, and professional development;</li>\n <li>Support student success through accessible and engaged faculty mentorship.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Research and Scholarship</strong></p>\n<p>The faculty member will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain an active program of research and scholarly productivity;</li>\n <li>Pursue peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and other scholarly activities consistent with expectations for a faculty appointment;</li>\n <li>Engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary research initiatives when appropriate.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Service</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will participate in:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Departmental, school, and university service activities;</li>\n <li>Accreditation, assessment, and program development efforts;</li>\n <li>Professional and community service activities related to public health.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Earned PhD, DrPH, MD, or other equivalent doctoral degree in Public Health or a related field;</li>\n <li>Demonstrated expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, quantitative methods, health services research, or related areas;</li>\n <li>Evidence of teaching effectiveness or potential for excellence in graduate-level education;</li>\n <li>Ability to mentor and supervise graduate student research and dissertations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience teaching in CEPH-accredited MPH and/or DrPH programs;</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Stata, SAS, R, Python, and other statistical software packages;</li>\n <li>Experience with curriculum development and interdisciplinary public health education;</li>\n <li>Evidence of scholarly productivity and collaborative research potential.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The Department seeks candidates committed to excellence in teaching, mentorship, scholarship, and public health practice.
