This full-time position is located at the White Center Medical Clinic near Seattle, WA. The Optician will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve optimal vision by fitting them with appropriate glasses and contact lenses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of optical products, a keen eye for detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.</span></span><br><br><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Patient Interaction:</span></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames and lenses based on their prescriptions, lifestyle needs, and aesthetic preferences.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Provide education on how to properly wear and care for glasses and contact lenses.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Train patients on the correct insertion and removal techniques for contact lenses.</span></span></li></ul><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Technical Duties:</span></span><ul><li><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Obtain and interpret prescriptions from our optometrist to create accurate work orders for optical labs.</span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Take precise measurements of patients' eyes and facial features to ensure a perfect fit for glasses</span></span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Adjust frames to fit patients comfortably and ensure proper alignment of lenses.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Verify that completed glasses meet the prescription requirements and quality standards before dispensing to patients.</span></span></li></ul><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Inventory Management:</span></span><ul><li><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Order and maintain inventory of optical supplies, including frames, lenses, and other related products.</span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Keep track of stock levels and ensure the availability of popular and essential items.</span></span></li></ul><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Customer Service:</span></span><ul><li><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Troubleshoot and resolve patients' complaints regarding their glasses, such as fit issues or visual discomfort.</span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Repair and maintain eyeglass frames to ensure longevity and proper function.</span></span></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Previous experience as an Optician or in a related field is preferred.</span></span></li><li><span style=\"line-height:normal;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Certification as an Optician in Washington State is required.
