Join our team to enjoy comprehensive benefits, including travel privileges on the American Airlines global network, so you can explore new destinations and create unforgettable memories with family and friends.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h1><strong>Position Summary</strong></h1>\n<p>The Supervisor of Stores assists the Manager of Stores in leading the stores team at his/her base to maintain proper inventory levels along with the proper receiving, inspecting, shipping, and/or storage of materials used in support of PSA fleet operations.  This is done in accordance with the established corporate policies and procedures and FAA requirements.</p>\n<h2><strong>Job Responsibilities </strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs the Receiving, Inspection, and binning of the daily deliveries of materials and shipment of repairs and stock transfers within established standards and times and assures that the team performs at a high level as well. </li>\n <li>Ensures that all materials requested by the maintenance technicians are provided promptly to support line, overnight, and heavy check operations. </li>\n <li>Trains the team in all aspects of Stockroom operations that are applicable to their respective job classifications.  This includes, but is not limited to computerized management and issuance of materials, hazmat training, shelf life training, cycle counting, as well as storage, packaging, receiving, of materials and disposal of hazardous, scrap or BER materials per established company guidelines. </li>\n <li>Updates training records and monitors recurrent training requirements, to ensure that the team is current on all training related to the department and provides regular updates to the Stores Manager. </li>\n <li>Provides input for the Stores Manager and assists him/her as required in the performance reviews for the Stores Team using established PSA company guidelines. </li>\n <li>Assesses staff performance ongoing and addresses performance and behavioral issues using the progressive discipline processes and polices as outlined in PSA manuals. Involves the Stores Manager in people issues when needed, and escalates serious concerns to Human Resources. Defers all termination decisions to Stores Manager. </li>\n <li>Recognizes and addresses conflicts among staff and/or involving other departments or external stakeholders. Follows the PSA Way and policies and procedures outlined for conflict resolution. </li>\n <li>Drafts schedules if assigned by the Stores Manager to assure that there adequate to always support PSA fleet activity. </li>\n <li>Trains Stores Clerks in the proper procedures to ensure that parts/materials are properly stored, segregated, and labelled, and that they comply with current Shelf Life Programs and hazardous materials storage guidelines.  </li>\n <li>Ensures that all activities relative to AOG and after hour AOG support are carried out in the most safe, expeditious, and economical way possible. </li>\n <li>Ensures that parts are transferred to other store locations in a timely and effective manner to support the PSA fleet. </li>\n <li>Ensures that parts and equipment that are requisitioned by supervisors, are ordered in a timely manner in after hour and AOG situations. </li>\n <li>Ensures that material inspection of incoming parts is in accordance with procedures as determined by the Chief Inspector and that rejected materials are tagged and stored per the established guidelines. </li>\n <li>Establishes and manages the inventory control program to ensure accurate identification and retrieval of parts/materials in support of the PSA fleet requirements. </li>\n <li>Assists the Stores Manager with the hiring of Clerks and Leads by participating in interviews and selection processes. </li>\n <li>Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs </li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Position Specifics</h2>\n<h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1>\n<p>Required</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li>Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain airport SIDA badging.</li>\n <li>Ability to speak/read/write in English. </li>\n <li>If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates or Technical Degree.</li>\n <li>At least two years of facility maintenance experience.</li>\n <li>One year of experience in a supervisory capacity.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Additional Information</strong></h2>\n<p><strong>Delegation:</strong> In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of Stores.</p>\n<p><strong>Authorities: </strong>None </p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility:</strong> This is a supervisory position </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong> This job operates approximately 90% of the time inside a climate controlled building and approximately 10% of the time outside in all types of weather. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.<strong>Physical Demands</strong>: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
