It offers a full range of specialty services, including cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery, orthopedics, maternity services, cancer care, and advanced wound care.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Emergency Department</strong>: 24 emergency beds        </li>\n   <li><strong>Critical Care Unit (ICU)</strong>: 12 ICU beds</li>\n   <li><strong>Labor & Delivery</strong>: 12 LDRP suites</li>\n   <li><strong>Med/Surg</strong>: 37 beds<strong></strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Surgery</strong>: 9 operating room surgery suites</li>\n   <li><strong>Telemetry</strong>: 37 beds  <strong></strong></li>\n   <li><strong>Intermediate Care Unit</strong> (Step-down) : 8 beds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Fully accredited by the Joint Commission, Cumberland Medical Center is an acute care hospital offering all private patient rooms as well as specialized services not usually found in the rural medical system.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For seriously ill patients, advanced medical and surgical care is provided at CMC including telemetry monitored beds and an intensive care unit. We look forward to welcoming team-focused people to grow their careers with us!\" </em>-Chief Nursing Officer, Cumberland Medical Center. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong> </p>\n<p>Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. The Telemetry Unit provides comprehensive, specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including cardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, and chest pain. In addition to cardiac care, the Telemetry Unit also manages patients with neurological and renal complexities, including those recovering from strokes and those experiencing renal impairment. Our interdisciplinary team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and collaborative environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care.</li>\n <li> Assesses needs of patient and family.</li>\n <li> Develops and initiates plan of care, involving patient and family.</li>\n <li> Recommends interventions.</li>\n <li> Evaluates plan of care.</li>\n <li> Clinical expertise and knowledge is such that individual can resolve complex patient/management/physician problems without supervision.</li>\n <li> Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.</li>\n <li> Leads process improvement initiatives in their own unit or participate in facility team.</li>\n <li> Precepts new employees/students or attends formal preceptor workshop and is willing to precept. Reviews clinical performance of preceptee with unit leader or clinical instructor.</li>\n <li> Provides four contact hours of educational activities, excluding basic patient education.</li>\n <li> Contributes to development and evaluation of unit orientation program.</li>\n <li> Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.</li>\n <li>Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.</li>\n <li> Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education:            </strong></p>\n<p>None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong>          </p>\n<p>Minimum of three (3) years professional experience.</p>\n<p><em>New graduate nurses welcome to apply.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Licensure Requirement:</strong>       </p>\n<p>Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure.
