You will drive continuous improvement, support production teams, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and customer requirements.</p><p>In this role, you will actively lead defect prevention efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions while partnering cross-functionally to enhance product reliability and manufacturability. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on quality performance and operational excellence on the shop floor.</p><hr><h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3><p><strong>Quality &amp; Process Improvement</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain PFMEA, DFMEA, and control plans to proactively mitigate risk</li><li>Perform workstation and process audits to ensure adherence to standards</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve First Pass Yield (FPY)</li><li>Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why)</li><li>Manage and oversee shop floor Non-Conformance Report (NCR) processes</li></ul><p><strong>Production &amp; Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and New Product Introduction (NPI) validation activities</li><li>Investigate internal and external quality issues and implement corrective actions</li><li>Collaborate with supplier quality and design engineering teams to address upstream process improvements</li><li>Participate in daily management and Gemba activities to monitor work-cell performance</li><li>Communicate customer concerns and quality trends at the production level</li></ul><p><strong>Customer &amp; Quality Systems</strong></p><ul><li>Support customer quality requirements, reporting, and issue resolution</li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements</li><li>Maintain proper documentation, traceability, and document control processes</li><li>Develop and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs)</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><p><strong>Required</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)</li><li>3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality or process engineering</li><li>Experience with PFMEA/DFMEA and control plans</li><li>Strong knowledge of root cause analysis tools (8D, 5-Why)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)</li><li>Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Key Competencies</strong></h3><ul><li>Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li><li>Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills</li><li>Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset</li><li>Strong documentation and organizational skills</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Working Conditions</strong></h3><ul><li>Majority of time spent on the manufacturing floor</li><li>Frequent interaction with production and engineering teams</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>About Ralliant &amp; Qualitrol</strong></h3><p>Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, is a global leader in precision technology, empowering engineers to drive innovation and solve complex challenges.
