This role involves performing manual and mechanical tasks to ensure the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and processes while adhering to safety and quality standards.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Material Handling:\n<ul>\n<li>Load and unload raw materials, finished products, and other supplies manually or using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).</li>\n<li>Monitor and manage the flow of materials to ensure consistent production.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Production Support:\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in setting up and operating machinery used in brick production.</li>\n<li>Monitor machines during operations to identify malfunctions or irregularities and report them to supervisors.</li>\n<li>Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Quality Assurance:\n<ul>\n<li>Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.</li>\n<li>Remove and discard defective products or materials as per company standards.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Housekeeping and Safety:\n<ul>\n<li>Keep the production area clean and free of debris to maintain a safe working environment.</li>\n<li>Follow all company safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Team Collaboration:\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with other team members, including machine operators, supervisors, and quality control personnel, to meet production goals.</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively about issues or improvements needed in the production process.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Lifting and carrying materials up to 50-100 pounds, occasionally. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Climbing stairs and ladders as needed </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Repetitive hand and arm movements </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work in environments with elevated temperatures </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Industrial manufacturing environment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Exposure to dust, heat, steam, and noise </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Exposure to moving mechanical equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic mechanical aptitude </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to maintain attention to safety and quality standards </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education and Experience </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 3:00 AM <br>(Occasionally may be required to work Fridays) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>May be required to work weekends or holidays based on production needs </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Overtime may be required based on production demands </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety Requirements </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must follow all company safety policies and procedures </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Must complete and pass all required safety training </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Must wear required PPE while performing job duties </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Must immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in safety meetings </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions and Reasonable Accommodation </span></p>\n<p>Cherokee Brick &amp; Tile Company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
