    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>Northwest location</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong>The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations under the direction of the Radiologist, Technical Director, and Lead/Chief Technologist. This position is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and departmental standards.</p><p><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging setting preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Certifications &amp; Licensure</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Current ARDMS registration required.</li><li>Must be registered with ARDMS in at least one of the following specialties to meet ACR accreditation requirements:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Abdomen (AB)</li><li>OB/GYN</li><li>Pediatric Sonography (PS)</li><li>Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)</li></ul></li><li>Credentials must be maintained in good standing throughout employment.</li><li>Current BLS certification.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform routine and specialized diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and ACR protocols.</li><li>Produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure accurate documentation.</li><li>Demonstrate advanced knowledge of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, anatomy, pathology, terminology, and scanning techniques.</li><li>Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding exam findings and patient concerns.</li><li>Complete accurate patient documentation and required paperwork.</li><li>Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to ensure patient safety and comfort.</li><li>Follow ACR guidelines and departmental protocols for all ultrasound examinations.</li><li>Participate in Quality Assurance activities as assigned.</li><li>Complete or direct completion of occurrence reports within 24 hours of any identified event, incident, or risk.</li><li>Support efficient workflow and respond positively to changes in assignments and priorities.</li><li>Participate in cross-training initiatives to enhance departmental flexibility and professional growth.</li><li>Assist with the clinical education and supervision of ultrasound students, as applicable.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.</li></ul><h2>HIPAA &amp; Confidentiality Agreement</h2><p>All employees agree to comply with all privacy and security standards set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Public Law 104-191, as outlined by SDMI.</p><p>Employees must:</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0.5in;\">&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Protect patient health information and maintain strict confidentiality.</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0.5in;\">&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Treat all patient information as confidential and privileged.</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0.5in;\">&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Disclose patient information only as necessary to perform job duties and as permitted under SDMI HIPAA policies.</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0.5in;\">&middot; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Safeguard computer passwords and access credentials.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p></div>\n",
