    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u></u></p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>\n<p>Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a dedicated <strong>Internal Medicine Physician (MD)</strong> to join our Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center. The physician will provide comprehensive internal medicine services within an open access/medical home care model, collaborating with a multidisciplinary patient care team to ensure high-quality care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Deliver preventative, acute, and chronic care for patients assigned to your panel, and support other providers’ patients during high-volume periods or absences.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct general medical examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions across all organ systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Promote preventive health and maintenance care, including physicals, immunizations, and patient education on positive health behaviors.</p></li>\n <li><p>Document all outpatient and inpatient encounters accurately in the EMR system in accordance with Army regulations and FHC policies.</p></li>\n <li><p>Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with complex conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, arthritis, and cancer.</p></li>\n <li><p>Prescribe medications per protocols, educate patients on proper use and side effects, and maintain accurate records.</p></li>\n <li><p>Order, evaluate, and interpret radiology and laboratory tests; refer to specialty clinics as appropriate.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide prescription renewals and telephonic consultative services.</p></li>\n <li><p>Mentor and provide guidance to other healthcare providers, including nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in professional development, staff meetings, in-service training, and other duties as assigned.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school; foreign medical graduates must have ECFMG certification.</p></li>\n <li><p>Completion of accredited post-graduate medical training (internship and residency) in Internal Medicine.</p></li>\n <li><p>Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.</p></li>\n <li><p>Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.</p></li>\n <li><p>Current unrestricted DEA certificate.</p></li>\n <li><p>Minimum of one year of experience within the last three years as a Family Practice Provider.</p></li>\n <li><p>Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.</p></li>\n <li><p>Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in word processing, data entry, and electronic medical records.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why You’ll Love This Role:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Monday–Friday schedule — no nights, weekends, or call.</p></li>\n <li><p>Autonomy to manage patient care in a supportive environment.</p></li>\n <li><p>All patients are fully insured — focus on care, not billing.</p></li>\n <li><p>Competitive salary, full benefits, PTO, CME allowance, and 11 paid federal holidays.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>For More Information:</strong>Kara [email protected]</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About Company:</strong></p>\n<p>At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
