    "description": "<p>A Superintendent II for Hedrick Brothers Construction will direct activities of workers concerned with the construction and/or renovation of buildings, or other construction projects to ensure tasks are completed both timely and properly by oneself or subordinate supervisors.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Study specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Work in conjunction with Project Manager to provide information necessary to complete project plan.</span>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Change Orders</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Pricing changes</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Delay notifications</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Schedule and conduct on-site project review and schedule meetings.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Determine work schedule and manpower levels for each project assignment. </span>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Develop or assist PM in developing project schedule and updating schedule during construction.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Create weekly, 3-week look-ahead schedule for distribution to project team. Discuss: procurement issues, manpower and bottlenecks.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ensure proper start-up and close-out of projects including obtaining appropriate documentation from vendors and/or subcontractors.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Procure tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Navigate iPad to use email, complete daily reports in ProCore, job site safety audits and other work as needed.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Complete necessary paperwork such as inspection logs, jobsite sign-in sheets, on-site material purchases, labor reports and schedules.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Perform proper cost coding of all materials, labor and equipment per the job budget. Turn in all receipts, delivery tickets, change order tickets, reports, paperwork and timesheets to the Project Manager weekly by end of day Monday.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain and organize updated on-site plans and project files.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Supervise field personnel including scheduling of manpower and evaluating their abilities.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Confer with supervisory personnel and crews to resolve complaints and grievances within work force. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company rules and project procedures. Document any violation and recommend corrective action.</span>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Understand and follow HB safety policy.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain all SDS files, safety posters, emergency numbers and fire extinguishers. Keep first aid kits and PPE stocked on the jobsite at all times.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Direct and document weekly safety meeting.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Attend OSHA 30-hour safety counsel every 5 years.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Perform jobsite safety checklist over entire jobsite once each week.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Fill out all accident reports and investigations. Turn findings into the office.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Maintain positive communication with office, owner, architect and inspectors. Perform unsolicited follow-up of past clients both during and following warranty period.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Assist Project Manager in generating RFIs with possible solution recommendation.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. </span>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Understand building department codes and regulations.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Tactfully communicate with the inspector to pass field inspections first time called.</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Perform estimating and pricing of small jobs and change orders.
