The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. As a member of The Nursing Department, The Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.<br><br><strong>Human Resources Exemption: </strong>No<br><br><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3 years acute care nursing including 1 year recent Emergency nursing required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)</li>\n <li>Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Education and Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Required to be SANE certified and maintain that certification</li>\n <li>Required to complete an Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners training</li>\n <li>Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)</li>\n <li>Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desired</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sound clinical judgment skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a team environment</li>\n <li>Capability to lead self: Demonstrates character</li>\n <li>Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to perform technical emergency nursing duties with skill and competence</li>\n <li>Participates in continuous quality improvement activities</li>\n <li>Ability to operate related equipment &amp; carry out the duties of the position</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement</li>\n <li>Ability to use compassionate sensitive approach relating to victims &amp; families</li>\n <li>Ability to deal tactfully, non-judgmentally and effectively with people</li>\n <li>ability to communicate effectively with staff, physicians, families.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Committed to own professional growth and development</li>\n <li>Ability to identify needs of sexually assaulted patients in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain a positive attitude and pleasant manner.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Information</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)</li>\n <li>May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives</li>\n <li>For more information on the city of Prince Albert please visit https://www.citypa.ca</li>\n</ul>",
