Description

Role Overview & Key Functions: RThe Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Solid Tumors serves as Karyopharm’s field-based scientific expert supporting the company’s endometrial cancer program and broader solid tumor strategy. The MSL is responsible for building relationships with gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, investigators, academic centers, and community oncology practices to facilitate the compliant exchange of scientific information and gather meaningful insights that inform development and launch planning. We are seeking MSLs across multiple U.S. territories. Candidates should indicate their preferred geography when applying. Responsibilites: Develop and maintain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in gynecologic oncology and solid tumors. Serve as Karyopharm’s scientific representative and facilitate balanced, compliant scientific exchange. Gather medical insights regarding treatment patterns, competitive dynamics, biomarker testing, and unmet needs in endometrial cancer. Support clinical trial awareness, investigator engagement, and site identification activities. Partner with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and HEOR teams to support launch readiness and evidence generation. Participate in advisory boards, congresses, investigator meetings, and scientific forums. Support investigator-sponsored research and scientific collaboration opportunities. Mentor newer MSLs and contribute to cross-functional initiatives. Candidate Profile & Requirements: Qualifications: Advanced doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, MD, DO, PhD); candidates with advanced clinical degrees and significant oncology MSL experience will be considered. 3+ years of oncology MSL experience required. Solid tumor experience required; gynecologic oncology and endometrial cancer experience preferred. Product launch and pre-launch experience preferred. Strong scientific communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with oncology thought leaders. Ability to travel up to 75%. At Karyopharm, base pay is one part of a competitive total rewards package that includes comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more), equity and the potential to receive annual target bonuses. Actual pay is based on factors such as location, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. We maintain broad salary ranges to reflect market conditions and the specialized nature of our work. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180 K - $220 K USD. Our Value Proposition: This is a uniquely exciting time to join Karyopharm Therapeutics where we are pioneering the science of nuclear export inhibition to develop differentiated therapies for patients with cancer. We are building upon an established commercial foundation in multiple myeloma while advancing the potential of selinexor across additional hematologic and solid tumor cancers including myelofibrosis and TP53 wild-type endometrial cancer, areas where patients continue to face significant unmet needs. Our lead therapy, XPOVIO® (selinexor), is a first-in-class inhibitor of exportin 1 (XPO1) and is approved in the U.S. for adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, with approvals in more than 50 countries and territories outside the U.S. We are also exploring opportunities to evaluate XPO1 inhibition across myeloproliferative neoplasms and TP53 wild-type driven solid tumors using next-generation compounds, including eltanexor. As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we are continuing to invest in critical capabilities across the organization to support future opportunities and deepen our impact in oncology. We are looking for talented people who are motivated by meaningful work, energized by growth and momentum, and excited by the opportunity to help shape what comes next in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where individual contributions are visible and valued.
