    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Tacten is currently recruiting for Journeyperson B-Pressure & CWB Welders to support our upcoming Fall Turnaround at our client site, CNRL, in Fort McMurray, AB!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major turnaround project, expand your technical experience, and work alongside industry-leading professionals in a dynamic industrial setting.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Start Date: ~August 31, 2026</li>\n <li>Location/Site: CNRL Albian & Horizon - Fort McMurray, AB</li>\n <li>Rotation: 6/1, 12 hour shifts</li>\n <li>Travel: Fly-in/Fly-out from Alberta hubs, Edmonton or Calgary </li>\n <li>Camp accommodations provided</li>\n <li>Certification Requirements: IRATA certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to project start)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform welding on high-pressure systems using various welding processes such as SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding).</li>\n <li>Weld components in all positions including flat, vertical, or overhead positions.</li>\n <li>Ensure welds meet specified standards and pass non-destructive testing methods (e.g., X-ray, ultrasonic testing).</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.</li>\n <li>Prepare materials by cutting, fitting, and assembling them as required.</li>\n <li>Select and set up welding equipment, ensuring all tools and materials are in proper working condition.</li>\n <li>Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.</li>\n <li>Make necessary adjustments to welding techniques or equipment settings to correct defects.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of welds and inspections.</li>\n <li>Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.</li>\n <li>Wear appropriate protective gear and ensure a safe working environment.</li>\n <li>Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for high-pressure welding.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Journeyman Welding Certification required</p></li>\n <li>ABSA B-Pressure Certification </li>\n <li>PQ Welding Card for F3/F4</li>\n <li>CWB SMAW all-positions Certificate required </li>\n <li>Any additional specialty welding alloy certificates, e.g. Stainless, CCO, etc. considered an asset</li>\n <li>IRATA (any level) required or willingness to obtain</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Safety Certifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CSTS-09 -or- OSSA BSO </li>\n <li>CSO (Common Safety Orientation)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Core Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work safely at heights and in industrial environments.</li>\n <li>Strong work ethics</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients</li>\n <li>Exceptional safety and quality awareness </li>\n <li>Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license </li>\n <li>Effective communication in English</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>The strength of Tacten lies in its outstanding people.
