    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Phileo Shared Services is seeking a Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy and oversight for our partner Christian schools. The CFO will report directly to the Head of School and play a mission-critical role in ensuring the financial health, compliance, and long-term sustainability of partner schools. This is a remote position with flexible hours with occasional in-person meetings as needed in the Philadelphia area.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\"><br></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">Key Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Strategic Financial Leadership</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead the overall financial strategy and planning across Phileo Shared Services partner schools. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Provide financial counsel to heads of schools and boards to ensure sustainability and mission alignment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Evaluate and enhance financial systems and controls to support school growth and operational excellence.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Budgeting &amp; Forecasting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Direct the preparation of annual budgets and long-range financial forecasts.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Monitor and report on actuals vs. budget performance, identifying key trends and variances.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Guide schools through strategic financial planning and tuition modeling.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Compliance &amp; Reporting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, accounting standards (GAAP), and reporting requirements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Prepare and present financial reports to school boards and leadership teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Oversee all internal and external reporting processes.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Audit &amp; Risk Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead the preparation and execution of annual audits for partner schools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Work with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Identify areas of financial and operational risk and implement mitigation strategies.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Team Leadership</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Supervise the finance team, including controllers, accounting assistants, and other support staff as assigned.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Build a collaborative, service-oriented financial culture across all partner schools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Attend key finance meetings, board finance committee sessions, and strategic planning meetings.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit or educational settings</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong understanding of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and financial compliance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience with audits, financial planning, and board reporting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proficiency in accounting software </span></li>\n<li><span>Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and solid understanding of the Word of God.
