Click here !  Reporting to the Paste Fill Surface General Supervisor , you will be part of the Surface Operations Department. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, operation, and optimization of the paste fill plant and supporting the backfilling UDS. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective paste production and distribution while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.You will lead the paste fill team and coordinates closely with mining, surface operations, maintenance, and technical services departments. Operational Management Supervise the daily paste plant operations, including batching, mixing, sand haul, binder haul and the distribution of the paste; Assist with paste fill schedules with underground production teams; Ensure consistent paste quality meeting geotechnical and strength specifications; Monitor system performance (pumps, pipelines, reticulation systems); Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards; Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and risk assessments; Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and tailings management standards; Assist with incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Technical & Quality Control Assist paste recipe development and optimization ; Ensure laboratory testing (slump, UCS, density, binder content) is completed and documented; Work closely with geotechnical engineers to meet backfill design requirements; Monitor tailings characteristics and binder consumption . Leadership & Supervision Supervise paste plant operators , technicians , and support staff; Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations ; Develop shift schedules and workforce planning; Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.Maintenance & Asset Management.
