    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Location Marion, NC (Primary Location)<br> <em>Occasional travel to Nashville, TN manufacturing facility required</em></strong></p><p><strong>Job Scope</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Certified Crane Operator to support operations at Marion Machine. This role is responsible for safely operating cranes to move large components and materials within the shop and yard. When crane operation is not required, the employee will support operations through CDL driving, material handling, and general labor duties.</p><p>This position may also be called upon to travel periodically to our Nashville, TN manufacturing facility to assist with similar operations as business needs require.</p><p><strong>Key Competencies</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong safety mindset and hazard recognition</li><li>Clear communication skills (radio and hand signals)</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a crew</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li><li>Problem-solving under pressure</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Crane &amp; Material Handling Operations</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Operate overhead, mobile, or gantry cranes to safely lift, position, and move large, machined parts and materials</li><li>Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs</li><li>Follow all OSHA and company safety standards</li><li>Communicate effectively with machinists, supervisors, and rigging personnel</li><li>Ensure proper rigging, load securement, and lift procedures</li></ul><p><strong>Secondary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, or finished components</li><li>Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT-compliant records</li><li>Safely load, unload, and secure cargo</li><li>Support occasional travel to the Nashville, TN facility as needed</li><li>Assist with loading/unloading machines, staging materials, and shop organization</li><li>Support manual machinists and shop operations as needed</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment</li><li>Assist with basic maintenance, yard work, and facility support tasks</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Current NCCCO Certification (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) for applicable crane type(s): Mobile Crane<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license (CDL Class A or B preferred/required, if applicable)</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience operating [mobile and OHC]</li><li>Ability to pass:<ul type=\"disc\"><li>Pre-employment drug screening</li><li>Physical exam (DOT medical card if required)</li></ul></li><li>Experience working around large components, heavy materials, or industrial equipment</li><li>Strong safety awareness and attention to detail</li><li>Willingness to travel occasionally to Nashville, TN</li><li><strong>Working knowledge of:</strong><strong><br></strong><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Load charts and capacity calculations</strong></li><li><strong>Rigging practices and hand signals</strong></li><li><strong>OSHA crane and construction standards (29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC)</strong></li></ul></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Ability to inspect cranes daily and identify mechanical or safety issues</strong></li><li>Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Signalperson and Rigger certification (NCCCO or equivalent)</li><li>Experience with:<br>&nbsp;<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Heavy industrial equipment</li><li>Steel erection</li><li>Aggregate or mining operations</li><li>Construction site coordination</li></ul></li><li>Experience with hydraulic, crawler, or rough-terrain cranes (as applicable)</li><li>Familiarity with lift planning software or engineered lift plans</li><li>Experience mentoring apprentices or junior operators</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] with or without assistance</li><li>Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work around heavy equipment for extended periods</li><li>Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions</li></ul>\n",
