    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a reliable, experienced, Certified Industrial Hygienist to potentially work full time for SJS Executives supporting a US Federal Facility in Beltsville, MD supporting ongoing Industrial Hygiene operations.</p><p><em>This position is contingent upon award of contract.&nbsp;</em></p><p>We are a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; we specialize in professional services to support federal and military organizations.</p><p><strong>The salary for this position is expected to $62.50/hr</strong> (equivalent to $130,000 yearly). SJS also offers 11 paid federal holidays, 80 hours of PTO accrual, medical, dental, vision, and a variety of additional benefits.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Conduct routine safety, occupational health, and environmental exposure assessments across laboratories, greenhouses, animal facilities, industrial facilities, and administrative spaces in response to safety concerns or complaints.</li><li>Perform workplace hazard evaluations and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable safety and industrial hygiene standards.</li><li>Conduct routine noise monitoring and hearing conservation assessments, including evaluation of exposure risks and recommendation of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).</li><li>Perform annual qualitative and quantitative respirator fit testing in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 and support the organization&rsquo;s Respiratory Protection Program.</li><li>Develop and maintain a comprehensive radiation safety program, including radiation waste assessments, waste characterization, storage evaluations, disposal recommendations, and compliance reporting.</li><li>Create and manage radiation dosimetry program documentation, including standard operating procedures, personnel monitoring protocols, and dose-tracking processes.</li><li>Respond to safety, occupational health, environmental, and hazardous material incidents involving chemical, biological, radiological, or industrial hazards.</li><li>Provide on-call emergency response support for industrial hygiene and safety-related incidents on a 24/7 basis as required.</li><li>Prepare timely, detailed, and accurate incident reports documenting findings, sampling results, corrective actions, and recommendations.</li><li>Conduct annual reviews of safety, health, and environmental management programs, policies, and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Perform gap analyses and recommend corrective actions to maintain compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for Occupational Medical Surveillance Program enrollment and assist employees and supervisors with enrollment procedures.</li><li>Conduct annual industrial hygiene inspections of laboratories, facilities, and administrative spaces and maintain inspection documentation and compliance records.</li><li>Serve as the Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) and oversee the implementation and management of the Chemical Hygiene Plan.</li><li>Manage chemical inventory systems and coordinate inventory collection with department or research personnel.</li><li>Ensure the safe handling, storage, and use of hazardous chemicals through routine inspections, hazard assessments, employee training, and corrective action management.</li><li>Maintain safety documentation, compliance records, and industrial hygiene program reports.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and support regarding chemical safety, risk assessments, and workplace hazard mitigation.</li><li>Collaborate with facility personnel, supervisors, and leadership teams to promote a safe and compliant work environment.</li><li>Ensure all work activities comply with OSHA regulations, environmental health and safety standards, and recognized industrial hygiene best practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>In accordance with federal regulations, possession of <strong>a valid Real ID is a requirement</strong> for this position.</li><li><strong><em>Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification required.</em></strong></li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or another related STEM field required.</li><li>Minimum of four years of full-time professional experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health, environmental health and safety, or a related field.</li><li>Demonstrated experience recognizing, evaluating, and controlling workplace hazards in laboratory, industrial, and administrative environments.</li><li>Proven ability to make industrial hygiene and occupational safety decisions independently beyond technician-level responsibilities.</li><li>Experience conducting workplace exposure assessments, environmental monitoring, and hazard mitigation activities.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, respiratory protection standards, hearing conservation programs, chemical hygiene practices, and radiation safety principles.</li><li>Experience developing and implementing safety programs, policies, standard operating procedures, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Proficiency with industrial hygiene monitoring equipment, including:<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Multi-gas detectors (e.g., MSA Altair, Dr&auml;ger X-am series)</li><li>Air sampling pumps (e.g., SKC AirChek, Gilian GilAir)</li><li>Noise dosimeters and sound level meters</li><li>Radiation detection and monitoring devices, including dosimeters, Geiger counters, and survey meters</li></ul></li><li>Ability to inspect, calibrate, function test, and maintain industrial hygiene monitoring equipment.</li><li>Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.</li><li>Ability to respond to emergency incidents and support operations across multiple shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to work onsite full-time and adapt to rotating shift schedules as operational needs require.</li><li>Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US
