Min USD $55,000.00/Yr. Max USD $60,000.00/Yr. Position Overview The Vocational Specialist provides vocational services and consultation as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Familiar with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they apply to the community residence program and agency policies Provides vocational services and consultation as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. visits clients in their home and other settings required. Familiar with OMH regulations Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services Provides aid and assistance through all phases of the vocational service provision Performing routine clinical services as a member of the Team Responsible for charting client services Responsible Vocational portion or all of creating the service plan Responsible for integrating vocational goals and services with the tasks of all the team members Responsible for ensuring revisions to the plan as the participant’s needs change Advocating for the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possible Responsible for creating a monthly spreadsheet with names of tenants and their employment status Follow-up quarterly with all employed tenants Assist with making monthly contact with tenant as needed Participate in bi-weekly monthly meeting Participate in monthly supervision to address any work-related tasks or concerns Other duties as assigned Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BA degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred. Must have two or more years’ experience working with persons who are seriously persistently mentally ill under the supervision of a certified rehabilitation counselor. Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in MS Word/Excel. Ability to research material via the internet. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Valid driver’s license is a plus, but not required.
