    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div style=\"font-style:normal; font-weight:400\">\n <p>Join us to shape advanced nuclear systems</p>\n <p>At Centrus Energy’s Oak Ridge Technology &amp; Manufacturing Center, you’ll help design and integrate next‑generation nuclear systems—work that directly contributes to national energy security and the future of clean power.&nbsp;</p>\n <p>What you’ll do</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Contribute to thermal‑fluid and heat‑transfer modeling for nuclear applications, translating analysis into practical design decisions.</li>\n  <li>Support structural and materials evaluations using modern simulation tools; help link results to reliability and safety objectives.</li>\n  <li>Draft clear technical documentation: design specs, test plans, and verification procedures.</li>\n  <li>Collaborate with senior engineers across mechanical, nuclear, and systems disciplines to integrate models with real equipment.</li>\n  <li>Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and system verification activities; learn our disciplined review culture.</li>\n </ul>\n <p>What you’ll bring</p>\n <ul>\n  <li><b>BS</b> in Aerospace Engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Nuclear, or Systems Engineering).</li>\n  <li>Academic or project experience in <b>heat transfer, fluid dynamics, or structural analysis</b>.</li>\n  <li>Familiarity with modeling tools (e.g., <b>ANSYS</b>, <b>COMSOL</b>, <b>SolidWorks</b>, <b>MATLAB</b>, or similar).</li>\n  <li>Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills; curiosity and willingness to learn fast.</li>\n </ul>\n <p>Nice to have</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Internship or hands‑on projects in thermal systems, propulsion, high‑temperature materials, or energy systems.</li>\n  <li>Experience in safety‑focused engineering environments.</li>\n  <li>Exposure to programming or data analysis (Python/MATLAB) for model automation and post‑processing.</li>\n </ul>\n <p style=\"margin-left:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.</i></span></p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.</i></span></p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements.
